Blind Guardian je nemecká power metalová skupina založená v roku 1984 v Krefelde v západnom Nemecku. Často sú považované za jednu z kľúčových a najvplyvnejších kapiel v podžánre power metalu a speed metalu. Súčasťou zostavy kapely v jej histórii bolo deväť hudobníkov, v súčasnosti ju tvoria spevák Hansi Kürsch, gitaristi André Olbrich a Marcus Siepen a od roku 2005 bubeník Frederik Ehmke. „Somewhere Far Beyond“ je štvrtý štúdiový album nemeckej power metalovej skupiny Blind Guardian. Bol vydaný v roku 1992 a produkoval ho Kalle Trapp. Predlohu obalu vytvoril Andreas Marschall, ktorý nakreslil aj predlohy pre ďalšie vydania Blind Guardian (Tales from the Twilight World, Nightfall in Middle-Earth atď.).
