Frankie Goes to Hollywood bola anglická popová kapela, ktorá vznikla v Liverpoole v roku 1980. Zložili ju Holly Johnson (spev), Paul Rutherford (sprievodné vokály), Mark O'Toole (basgitara), Brian Nash (gitara) a Peter Gill (bicie). Johnson a Rutherford patrili medzi prvých otvorene homosexuálnych popových spevákov a Frankie Goes to Hollywood sa vo svojej hudbe a vystúpeniach venovali právam homosexuálov a sexualite. V roku 1985 bola skupina Frankie Goes To Hollywood pravdepodobne najnebezpečnejšou kapelou na svete, ktorá otriasla hudobným svetom spôsobom, aký krajina nezažila od čias Sex Pistols. Boli otvorení, BBC ich zakázala, takmer porušili zákon o ochrane tajomstiev, mali videá, ktoré televízia nemohla vysielať až do konca prelomového obdobia, vydali jeden z najodvážnejších debutových albumov všetkých čias, dvojalbum, a samozrejme, fanúšikovia popu ho milovali.
