Industrial sites are also visited and include Bickershaw, Corkickle Brake, South Kirkby, Peckfield, Seaham, Doxfords, the Bowes Railway, and the Harton Railway. The time period is largely between 1955 and 1967 and although steam predominates, diesel and electric power are represented, even rope-worked inclines. It will appeal to railway enthusiasts, modelers and those interested in local history. Virtually all of the photographs, a mixture of monochrome and color, have never previously been published and are accompanied with extensive and informative commentaries.
