Edge of Sanity bola švédska death metalová skupina, ktorá je popri Opeth všeobecne považovaná za prvú, ktorá spája extrémne metalové štýly ako death a black metal s progresívnym rockom. Skupinu založil Dan Swanö v roku 1989 a skončila v roku 2003. "The Spectral Sorrows" je tretí štúdiový album, ktorý Börje Forsberg nahral v júli až auguste 1993 a vydal ho Black Mark Production v roku 1993.
